Editorial Policy

A review site's real product is its method. This page documents ours — the source hierarchy, the claim labels, and the lines we don't cross.

Source hierarchy

When sources disagree, we resolve them in this order:

  1. The current product label — regulated, specific, primary.
  2. Vendor commerce documents — pricing, guarantee, shipping, support pages (getyusleep.com), treated as vendor-reported.
  3. Government and institutional literature — NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, FDA consumer resources, PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed studies.
  4. Reputable medical organizations for health-context articles.
  5. Everything else — press releases, affiliate pages, marketplace lore — used only as context, never as evidence.

Claim labeling

Every substantive claim on this site belongs to one labeled lane:

  • Label fact — printed on the current panel.
  • Vendor claim — stated by the seller, attributed as such, never promoted to fact.
  • Independent evidence — cited to a specific study or institutional page, with its strength tier named.
  • Editorial interpretation — our analysis, signaled as ours ("we read this as...", "our view").

Ingredient research is never written as finished-product proof, because no finished-product trial exists; that sentence appears wherever it's relevant, on purpose.

What we never publish

  • Invented first-person testing or fabricated customer experiences
  • Star ratings or review counts we can't verify (vendor counts are quoted as vendor-reported)
  • Fake urgency, countdowns, scarcity counters, or doctored badges
  • Disease-treatment claims for the product
  • AI-drafted text published without editorial review — every page is edited by the team named in the byline

Affiliate separation

We earn commissions on purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to readers. Compensation never decides verdicts: our review's limitations sections exist precisely where a sales-driven site would sand them off. The mechanics live in the affiliate disclosure.

Updates and corrections

Pages carry an updated date. When the label, pricing, or policies change materially, we re-verify and re-date the page. Readers report errors via the contact page; corrections that affect buyer decisions are made promptly and noted where relevant.
