Counterfeit and gray-market supplement bottles usually fail small, specific checks — not dramatic ones. This guide lists the checks in the order you'll actually encounter them.
At checkout: the three structural tells
- Payment domain. Genuine orders process on ClickBank's payment domain. A card form on any other domain is the single strongest counterfeit signal that exists.
- Receipt email. Authentic purchases produce a ClickBank receipt with an order number, arriving within minutes. Screenshots of a "confirmation page" are not receipts.
- Price sanity. The vendor's published tiers discount a $99 reference to $49–69 per bottle. A "90% off official" offer isn't a deal; it's a costume.
On arrival: the bottle-level checks
Compare what's in your hands against the documented current label, which our supplement facts page transcribes:
- Format: 2 fl oz (60 mL) amber glass dropper bottle; liquid, not capsules.
- Label identity: purple label, "YU SLEEP" branding, the "Advanced Nerve Support Formula" banner, dietary-supplement statement and 2 fl oz net weight.
- Facts panel: melatonin 0.9 mg, B6 0.5 mg, B2 0.5 mg, and the 637 mg blend listing tart cherry concentrate first and GABA last, in that order.
- Print quality: genuine labels are professionally printed; smudged, peeling, or photocopied-quality labels are stop-and-question events.
- Seal and fill: intact dropper assembly, fill level consistent with 60 mL, no off-putting odor sharply different from a flavored cherry liquid.
One mismatch can be a batch variation or a label revision; two or more, or a wrong payment domain, is a return-and-report situation.
The gray-market middle case
A genuine bottle bought from an unauthorized reseller passes every bottle check and still loses you the guarantee, the support chain, and any freshness assurance — liquid formulas age. Our store-availability article covers why those listings exist; the short version is that authenticity and protection are separate purchases, and only the official route bundles them.
What to do with a suspect bottle
Stop using it. Photograph label, seal, and packaging. Email the vendor's published support address with your order details if you have a legitimate receipt; contact your payment provider if the purchase ran through an unknown processor. Reports like these are also how vendors and platforms detect counterfeit waves early.
A ten-second summary
Real checkout domain + ClickBank receipt + label matching the documented panel = authentic with protection. Missing any leg of that stool, slow down and verify before the bottle touches your nightstand.
